Add a Prefilled Message to a WhatsApp Link

Encode punctuation, spaces and multilingual text correctly.

Start with a valid number

A chat link uses international digits after https://wa.me/. Do not put a plus sign, brackets or spaces into the final number segment.

Let the generator encode the message

The message belongs in the text query parameter. URL encoding keeps spaces, ampersands and Unicode text from breaking the address.

Keep the message optional

A prefilled message is a draft for the visitor. They choose whether to send it. Avoid sensitive information in a public link.

Test before sharing

Open the generated link and check recipient and message. Copy it for social profiles, or use the provided website-button code.
