Check the source
Choose a video within the 50 MB and three-minute limits. Support depends on the browser and codec. Keep the original because MP4 re-encoding can remove quality.
Choose output settings
A narrower output often reduces file size more effectively than lowering quality alone. Set a sensible width for the destination. Increasing the quality-number control means stronger compression and lower quality.
Watch the processing state
First use loads an approximately 32 MB local engine. Compression progress comes from the engine. Cancel if needed; a short smaller source is preferable on a memory-limited phone.
Compare the output
Play the generated MP4, inspect important details and compare its actual size with the original. A smaller result is not guaranteed for every already-compressed source.
